Blog Power

If you are not using this strategy to generate traffic to your website, position yourself as an expert, and grow your business online, you’re missing out big time. The strategy is blogging. And I have to admit, it is one of my favorite online lead generation methods, if not my absolute favorite.

Now blogging has been around for a long time, and periodically people will say it is dead and doesn’t work. Let me tell you straight out, if you do it correctly, IT WORKS! Blogging can be a free online lead generation machine, brining you daily leads, at no cost. And it’s easy, fun, and a great way to increase your skills and provide value to your readers and prospective clients or customers.

Of the over 100 million websites in existence, my blog,, is in the top 99.8% of all websites at the time of this writing. And I only started my blog 1 month ago, so it doesn’t take years of blood sweat and tears to get results. I get leads everyday from my blog and the leads come in whether I spend more time on my blog or not. That’s the kind of strategy I love, do the work and then let it work for me while I have fun playing tennis, taking my kids to the beach, or going out to dinner.

Now, let me tell you, in addition to the tangible results of getting opt-ins and leads on a daily basis, there are many intangible benefits of having a blog. A blog gives you instant credibility and expert status with your readers. Of course, you need to provide value and establish yourself as a credible expert with your content. If you do, your results can be incredible. Here is what happened to me.

One of my mentors told me to give away one of my best tips or strategies on a regular basis. Now initially, I thought he was crazy. Why would I give away some of my best ideas? That’s what I charge my consulting clients for. But he has an extremely successful online business, so I clenched my teeth and started to use my blog to share some of my best information and strategies.

One night, I get a Facebook message from an extremely successful real estate and wealth building trainer whom I’ll call Sam. I had just attended one of Sam’s events. A friend had bet Sam $100 that he couldn’t get 100 Facebook friends in 3 days and let me tell you, he’s not the kind of guy that loses a bet. He wanted people to become his friend on Facebook.

I had been consulting for another trainer Sam knows to build a huge Twitter following. I’m a big fan of Twitter so I email George saying Facebook is great but had he considered Twitter. I detailed some of the pros and cons of Facebook and Twitter, and my personal experience, and then suggested he contact me if he wanted to know more about how I could help him get famous with Twitter. I added my signature and a link to my blog.

I didn’t expect any response, but almost immediately got a request to have lunch with him, in person, since we are in the same geographic reason. We had a phenomenal lunch and agreed to a consulting arrangement for me to spearhead his Twitter strategy.

During the course of our lunch discussion, I learned that he wanted to have lunch with me because as he scanned my blog he was extremely impressed with my content and knowledge. He said it set me apart from most of the other people on the internet. Yes, he had read one of the articles where I shared one of my best tips on article marketing.

As a result of my blog, and the valuable content I provided in my blog that set me apart from everyone else, this very influential entrepreneur had lunch with me, ready to do business. I didn’t have to prove myself or establish myself as a credible expert, my blog did that for me.

That was a long story but I think it illustrates the power of a blog and the benefit of providing the highest quality, most valueable content possible in your blog. Don’t hold anything back.

Now, if you see the power of a blog and would like to create your own blog, there are 2 ways to go. You can build a free blog, hosted at or some other blog hosting service, or you can have your own blog on your own website, such as I do at

The only way to go is a self-hosted blog. A self-hosted blog on your own domain gets better results from the search engines, you own it and don’t have to worry about your account getting shut down for arcane reasons, and you can install special blog goodies called plug-ins that improves the blog experience for your readers, and gets exponentially better search engine results.

If you would like to create a new blog or would like to drastically improve the effectiveness of an existing blog, send me an email at with your contact information and I will call you to discuss the details. I install 15 cool plug-ins and over 63 search engine optimizations so your blog will rock in no time at all! I have spent hundreds of hours learning about the intricate details of creating blogs that soar to the top of the search engines in no time at all.
